Hey everyone! It’s Levi Foss with Century 21 In Good Company, and today I want to take a moment to share something that’s very near and dear to my heart. My entire career as a REALTOR® has been built on one simple principle: referrals. I work 100% off referrals, and I believe that it’s the key to building lasting relationships, trust, and—most importantly—helping individuals and families achieve their dreams of homeownership.
When I was growing up, my family didn’t own a home. My single mother rented, and I vividly remember yearning for a place that we could truly call our own. That dream of homeownership always stuck with me, and in 2004, at the age of 22, my wife, Melissa, and I made that dream a reality when we bought our first home. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. That moment set me on a path to help others experience that same joy.
In 2005, I became a licensed REALTOR®, and I still remember my very first sales. It was a whirlwind! In fact, I sold 5 sides on the same day—all thanks to one simple interaction. It all started when I hosted an open house at 826 S Quincy St in Green Bay for another REALTOR®. That’s where I met Jake and Blaire. They were the couple who took a chance on me, a brand new agent, and that moment changed everything.
Jake and Blaire were patient, kind, and most of all, they believed in giving the “new guy” a shot. They wrote an offer on the house I was hosting the open house for, and they also had a house to sell—3841 Sandpiper in the Town of Scott. I listed their property, met another couple who wanted to buy, and helped them sell their house at 1856 Smith St in Green Bay. From there, everything just snowballed. I hosted more open houses, sold more properties, and eventually, all those connections led to 5 successful transactions in one day.
If Jake and Blaire hadn’t had the mindset to help a new REALTOR®, I’m not sure where my career would have gone. They took a chance on me, and because of them, I was able to build a business that’s rooted in trust, hard work, and a deep commitment to helping others.
Over the years, Jake and Blaire’s family has grown, and I’ve had the privilege of helping them through some major milestones, like selling Jake’s grandmother’s home, listing properties for their parents, and assisting with their investment properties. We’ve even seen their family grow with new babies and pets. And through it all, we’ve stayed connected—not just as business partners, but as true friends.
Now, it’s my turn to give back and support their journey. Jake and Blaire have recently partnered up to purchase Happy Tails Veterinary Clinic in De Pere, and I couldn’t be more excited for them. As they’ve supported me over the years, I’m proud to support them in their new adventure.
